Expert Overflow

Terms

Last updated 22 October 2026

These terms are between you and Heney Lindley Holdings LLC, doing business as Expert Overflow (“Expert Overflow”, “we”). They cover our PHP2Shell fix, site hardening and hosting. We’ve kept them short and plain. If anything is unclear, email info@expertoverflow.com.

Signing up

Signing up puts your site in our queue and lets us contact you. It doesn’t commit you to buy anything, and it doesn’t give us permission to change your site.

The queue

We work first come, first served, in the order people sign up. We’ll tell you when we expect to reach your site. If demand is high, it may take longer than we’d like, and we’ll say so.

Work authorization

Before we touch anything, you confirm in writing that you own or manage the site and that you authorize the work we’ve described. We only do the work you’ve approved. You can ask us to stop at any time.

Pricing is an estimate

The prices on our website are estimates. Your final quote comes after we look at your site, and you approve it before we start. If we find something that would change the price, we’ll ask before doing more.

Pay later

  • You put a card on file before work begins. We don’t charge it at that point.
  • We invoice and charge that card after the fix is done, for the amount you approved.
  • If your site moves to our hosting, hosting is billed monthly from the month it moves, at the price we agreed. When we match your current host’s price, we match the plan price on your most recent hosting invoice. You can cancel anytime; cancelling stops future months.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see your full card number.

Refunds

  • Fix and hardening. You’re only charged after the work is done. If we can’t complete the fix we agreed on, you aren’t charged for it. If something we did isn’t working within 14 days, tell us and we’ll put it right at no cost. If we can’t, we’ll refund what you paid for that work.
  • Hosting. Cancel anytime; billing stops at the end of the month you’re in. If you cancel within 14 days of your first hosted month, we’ll refund that month in full. We don’t refund other partial months.
  • If you leave our hosting, we’ll give you a complete copy of your site and help you move it, at no charge.

Access and passwords

We never ask for passwords by email. When we need access, we’ll ask you to invite us or delegate access through your host or WordPress, so you stay in control and can remove us whenever you like.

What we can’t promise

We’ll patch, harden and protect your site as well as we reasonably can, but no one can guarantee a site will never be attacked. We also can’t guarantee your site wasn’t already compromised before we started. If we find signs that it was, we’ll tell you what we found and what we recommend.

Keep your own backups. We take a backup before we change anything, but you remain responsible for your site and its content.

As far as the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it.

Our passive check

When you sign up, we look at what your server publicly tells every visitor, such as the PHP version it advertises. We don’t attack, scan for weaknesses or try to break into your site. See our privacy notice for what we collect.

Changes

If we change these terms, we’ll update this page and the date above. Work you’ve already approved stays under the terms you agreed to.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Texas.
